The grand reopening date is scheduled for the fall of 2024.

Did you know that the July 4th weekend is one of the biggest weekends in Granbury? This year is even bigger than usual because America celebrates a big birthday, 250 years old. The Hometown Parade rolls through downtown, and the fireworks over Lake Granbury are honestly one of the best small-town shows you will catch anywhere. We are walking distance from the parade route and the Square.

Semiquincentennial Decorated Driving Tour - Join Visit Granbury in Celebrating America's 250th – the Semiquincentennial!

Granbury Live: "We’re painting the town red, white, and blue with a decorated driving tour that showcases our patriotic pride — and all we need is YOU to make it complete! Decoration contest will run from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2026.

The winning homes and businesses will be on a self-guided "driving tour". Entries must have public access to be viewed by driving. We invite our gated communities to join the excitement as well, band together, and decorate your community entrance/gate to submit. Submissions must be turned in by May 25th, 2026.

The DAR will be giving awards for the most historically decorated home and establishment.

If you love classic rods, the Lone Star Street Rod Association is bringing their annual State Run back to Granbury this June. June 13-14 around 450 rods are expected at Hewlett Park, spectating is free, and a free tram runs between the park and downtown so you can park once and walk the Square between visits. Mid June fills up fast around here, so if you are coming in for the show, book your room sooner than later. View link in comments.
