💫 Our first and second groups have come and gone already, with our third group in full swing!! We will get better at posting more of what happens in June, I promise! If we had 8 weeks in June, I am positive we could fill them!!
Our first week was filled with a new group. Lots of girls roaming the property! Our weekend group have been coming for years! Enjoyed spending time with them.
Here are a few comments from our new guests!
"I just got done cooking for a week at your camp and wanted to leave this review for you guys. 😀 thank you again! We had such a fun week!
I had the opportunity to work for a week at Camp Sharon, in their kitchen, for a youth summer camp. We weren't quite sure what to expect upon arrival but ended up finding every supply we could have ever imagined for us to use. The owners, and their older sons, were always in and out checking if we needed anything while we cooked. They were so helpful and even kept us company many times! If we had any questions, one of them would respond on site within minutes. The kitchen was fully stocked of utensils, equipment and other supplies, had a restaurant dishwasher that only took minutes, 2 food warmer buffet bars and 2 unheated ones for serving, washer/dryer, and a massive walk in fridge and freezer and more. This was definitely a camp that the youth loved being at. Being able to serve them home cooked meals in Camp Sharons kitchen made it even better." - K
From another leader:
"What we loved about Camp Sharon: the camp has a peaceful and secluded atmosphere and even though it has adjacent personal homes, it feels very private. We loved the closeness of all the buildings. There is a slope from top to bottom, but not a long distance between dining, sleeping, worship center, lake and bathrooms. The camp provides paper goods and soap in the bathrooms which is a plus. The amphitheater, dining hall and worship center all offered good space for our large group to gather. There are so many provided activities and equipment for them. Lots of free time choices for our campers!
What we loved about the Camp Sharon staff: help was only a text or call away. Even when it wasn't an emergency, Jacob or members of his staff responded right away with kindness and professionalism. We never felt we were an inconvenience asking for something. Jacob and Kristi met with me personally to go over check out expectations. They are very approachable and answered all our questions. The Lifeguards provided daily lake safety during our swim time. They reacted respectfully and remained focused and present.
The only thing I would have liked to know beforehand was about the swim test. It wasn’t a big deal to add it in, but I didn’t know about it. Admittedly, that could have been told to the person who initially got camp info and they forgot to tell me.
We thought our experience was fantastic, but if I had to pick one thing we would love to see in the future, it would be a pickleball net." -Amy
AND WE DO HAVE THAT PICKLEBALL NET! EXCITED THAT A GROUP WANTS THIS! 🙃
