Come and enjoy a paddle on Michigan's most beautiful river! We also offer 4 & 5 1/2 hour trips to Stephan Bridge and Wakeley Bridge landings.

Borchers Canoe Livery with Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of Grayling, Michigan on the beautiful AuSable River. We have wide variety of canoe and kayak trips, our riverside Bed & Breakfast, and our "boathouse" shop, featuring AuSable River t-shirts, sweatshirts and other goodies. From our Grayling location, we provide various length trips for all skill levels beginning with a 2 1/2 hour leisurely float to Burtons Landing. The river flows at a gentle 3 to 5 miles per hour, and ranges in depth from 18 to 36 inches.

Well, that's a wrap ladies and gentlemen on the 2026 paddle season....Borchers would like to thank all of our wonderful customers that make us their place for lodging and trips down the best river Michigan has to offer!

More importantly the Borchers Staff is truly the best anywhere! These extraordinary young people are the engine that makes this place run, and we absolutely could not do it without them.

Come see us this winter as the Bed and Breakfast re-opens Friday, January 8, 2027!

Borchers second to last day of the 2026 paddle season brought a mixed bag of, rain, sleet, snowflakes, rainbows along with the sun! While we have one day left, the closing process has begun for another year.....

Bring yourself and some friends down to Borchers tomorrow for a final paddle on Michigan's greatest river and receive 25% all remaining merchandise!

It looks like rain on and off over the next few days, but Borchers last day of the 2026 paddle season (Saturday) is primed for sunshine and fall colors.

Head down to Borchers and take advantage of one last paddle this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday!

Launch hours will be 9-2, with our last pick-up being 5:00.

See you on the river!

Fall is here and the temps will be awesome this weekend!!! Come on down to Borchers Au Sable Canoe and Kayak and paddle Michigan's best river one last time this season with June like weather in the air!

Last launch times:

Wakeley Bridge until 10:00,

Stephan Bridge until 12:00

Burtons Landing until 2:00 with our last pick-ups no later than 5:00 pm. Please be onsite at least 15 minutes early to ensure you are signed up and ready to paddle if you arrive close to our trip cut off times.

Borchers last day for the 2026 Paddle Season will be Saturday, October 17!

Borchers Riverside Bed and Breakfast just had a room cancel for Friday and Saturday, October 9th & 10th. This is our second to last weekend of the 2026 season so snag it up why you still can; and throw in a fall color tour in one of our canoes or kayaks while you are here!

A huge congratulations to Borchers' very own, Drew "Mav" Moore! The University of Wisconsin Green Bay and its Nordic Ski Team are lucky to have you! Between slinging canoes and kayaks along with his daily multiple-hour skate-ski training sessions, this guy is destined for greatness on the course and in the classroom!

Borchers' conjoined twins Sean "The Bear" and Mathieu "Meteo" work hard unloading kayaks and readying the trailer for another pick-up at Burton's Landing on the beautiful Au Sable River!

The weather has been awesome, so come on down to Borchers where you will find the hardest working employees on the river!

With Northern Strike at the Grayling National Guard base wrapping up for another year, Borchers is ready this afternoon for another great group of America's finest soldiers to take a trip down Michigan's best river!
