Borchers Canoe Livery with Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of Grayling, Michigan on the beautiful AuSable River. We have wide variety of canoe and kayak trips, our riverside Bed & Breakfast, and our "boathouse" shop, featuring AuSable River t-shirts, sweatshirts and other goodies. From our Grayling location, we provide various length trips for all skill levels beginning with a 2 1/2 hour l

eisurely float to Burtons Landing. The river flows at a gentle 3 to 5 miles per hour, and ranges in depth from 18 to 36 inches.

Canoe rental bathrooms are not always the best, and Borchers were starting to fit into that category.......

Add into the equation, Lake Shore Remodel by: Ben Sowers and viola.........we now have these gems!!!

Come on out to Borchers Au Sable Canoe and Kayak for a paddle down river and utilize the nicest restrooms east of Lake Michigan and west of Lake Huron!

Borchers Au Sable Canoe and Kayak is now open 7 days a week!!

May 7th through the 22nd:

Monday-Friday by reservation which can be made the day of, Saturday and Sunday launching 9:00am-3:00pm (Call 989-348-4921 for day trip cut off times)

Memorial Day weekend to include Monday - launching 9:00am - 3:00pm

We can't wait to see your smiling faces on the river!

Borchers Au Sable Canoe and Kayak is OPEN for the season! The temps are cool, but the sun is out.......dress warm and come on out this weekend for a paddle down the awesome Au Sable River!

We are launching from 10-2 both today and Sunday! Check back for updated hours as we get up and running!

The 2026 paddle season is just days away regardless of what Mother Nature has to say....Starting Saturday, May 1st, give Borchers a call and reserve your trip down the beautiful Au Sable River!

Apparently, the great flood of 2026 decided to plow through Graying while Abby and I are visiting Utah and enjoying some rest and relaxation with friends....

If you look closely at the picture on the left, part of the Borcher dock is visible under the water!

Please keep all of the river resident's further downstream in your thoughts as they navigate this ever-changing challenge for days to come.
