A big thank you to all of you for your concern. Hopefully the worst is over. The River is very wide and deep and moving fast. The cabins are dry, thank goodness. Our puppy loves her walks on the trails in the deep water. For those of you that have stayed with us, these familiar shots may not look familiar at all. The walkway in the river is almost completely under water, there won't be any fires in the fire pit for a bit and your picnic may be very wet. Ducks are swimming in our yard. We are thankful that we do not have any dams upstream from us as that seems to be the biggest problem for the area. The water should start receding soon. Thanks again. Phil and Brenda

Finley’s Updates 2026

We are still open all year around.

You can call me anytime between 7a-9p. Please leave a message if I don’t answer.

There is lots and lots of snow and lots of things to do. Come on over and play. Skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, and ice fishing to mention a few.

If you want to book, you need to call us directly and (989)745-6673 or email us at [email protected].

We no longer use VRBO as a booking service.

There are no current rate increases.

I will be calling all of you in February who have tentative reservations in the upcoming year.

We still have our cats and they have a new sister. She has lots of puppy energy. She keeps us busy.

Thank you so much for all your concerns. We are in the process of putting things back together. We're missing a lot of trees and treetops. We were lucky that the trees did not fall on the cabins. One bent the electrical mast on cabins 3 and 4. The electrician had to replace that and now we are waiting for consumers power to turn the electric back on. It was a cold couple nights, but we managed to keep things running with our generators. It also rained a lot. The water is really high. The chairs are sitting in water. A couple sunny days should help the water recede a bit. Enclosed are a couple pictures of the ice in the trees and the missing tree tops and the high water. A big shout out to all the businesses that are helping clean up our mess. Great Timber Tree Service, Primary Electric, Consumers Power, and Spectrum Internet.

One of the first questions we are asked when a customer is booking a room in the Winter is - Do you have any snow? The answer is YES, about 15 inches standing on the ground. To my winter sports enthusiasts, come on up and play!!!
