With everyone’s safety in mind, we’ve made the decision to reschedule the Hometown Heroes Concert at Canoe Blue.

After so much rain this week, the grounds are expected to be slippery and muddy, and with the added chance of storms and lightning, we feel it’s best to move the event to a later date rather than risk an unsafe situation for our guests, vendors, performers, and hometown heroes.

We know this is disappointing, and we truly appreciate your understanding. This event means a lot to us, and we still look forward to gathering together to honor the firefighters, law enforcement, EMTs, military families, teachers, medical personnel, and others who serve our community so faithfully.

The rescheduled date and time are still to be determined, and we’ll share that update as soon as we have it.

Thank you for your support, your flexibility, and for helping us put safety first.

Alsies will be joining us for the Hometown Heroes Concert with sweet frozen treats as we come together to honor the people who serve and sacrifice for our communities, including firefighters, law enforcement, EMTs, military families, teachers, medical personnel, and so many others who give so much every day.

With Elliott Poston performing live, BBQ, Ice-cream, Lemonade, and Cotton Candy vendors joining the fun, and a beautiful evening ahead of us, this is shaping up to be a special night of appreciation, community, and hometown pride.

Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets, gather your family and friends, and come be part of a night that celebrates the heroes among us.

Weather has been a big factor this week, and we want to keep everyone in the loop about the Hometown Heroes Concert at Canoe Blue.

Right now, the event is still on the calendar for Saturday, May 30, but with rain in the forecast, there is a chance we may need to reschedule. A final decision will be made by Thursday, and we wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible so you can plan your weekend accordingly.

We’re still incredibly excited for this special night honoring our hometown heroes — including firefighters, law enforcement, EMTs, military families, teachers, medical personnel, and all those who serve and sacrifice for our community. If the weather cooperates, we’re looking forward to a great evening with Elliott Poston, local vendors, and a lot of hometown pride at Canoe Blue.

The Hometown Heroes Concert is more than just a concert — it’s shaping up to be a really fun community evening at Canoe Blue Retreat.

Dave's Barnyard BBQ will be on site offering delicious BBQ for purchase, so come hungry and be sure to bring cash. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets, settle in, and enjoy a beautiful evening with live music and great company.
