COVID-19 UPDATE for 2020 Rental Season at Paradise Beach Cottages
Dear Friends,
Wow! What a crazy year we have had up to this point! We hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to your week at Paradise Beach. We have been busy getting everything ready for your arrival.
Like everyone else, we are doing everything we can to keep our guests safe during their stay at Paradise Beach this summer. To ensure the safety of our guests, we have made a few adjustments.
• This year, we are requesting each guest to provide your own blankets, comforters, and pillows. We will not be providing these this year as an extra precaution against Covid-19. However, we are still able to provide your sheets because we use a linen service for these.
• We will be leaving the dishes and silverware in the cabins for your use, but we are suggesting each guest bring paper plates, cups and plastic cutlery this year and use that instead. Our staff will not have adequate time to bleach the dishes and silverware between guests. We will also be providing disposable tablecloths that will be replaced between every customer.
• We will be assigning each cabin two plastic Adirondack chairs…these will be yours for the week. You can use them anywhere on the beach you desire, but we ask that you only use the ones assigned to your cabin. We will be sanitizing the chairs between guests, along with the benches, patio furniture, and grill handles. We will be sanitizing the outdoor swings and picnic tables once daily for your protection.
• The fire pit will still be available for community use, but we do remind our guests to maintain the suggested 6 feet social distance from other guests. If you prefer to have a private fire with your family, you can check out a personal fire bowl from the office. We are limited to 2 so this will be on a first come basis.
• For the safety of our cleaning staff, at check-out time we are asking our guests to strip the beds and place the sheets in a linen bag provided by us.
• Inside the cabins, we will be diligent to sanitize all door handles, light switches, TV remotes, and all surfaces. We will wash all hot pads and oven mitts between guests. (A lot of this is standard procedure anyway.)
Finally, we hope to open in June as scheduled. We are ready for you, we are simply waiting on the governor to permit rentals to open. If we are delayed in opening during a week you are scheduled to arrive, we will contact you with your options. If we do not contact you, plan to arrive on your scheduled date. And always feel free to call us with any questions.
