💚🎬 Food. Film. History. Community. 🎬💚

The Historic Magnolia House is proud to partner with The Carolina Theatre for a special Juneteenth screening of Sinners on Friday, June 19th.

Before the film, enjoy one of our chef crafted Magnolia House Shoebox Meals, inspired by Southern traditions, Black foodways, and the spirit of Juneteenth. Guests can pick up their meals at the Carolina Theatre and enjoy them during the movie.

But these meals are more than dinner.

The Shoebox Meal pays tribute to a powerful chapter in American history. During segregation, many Black travelers relied on Green Book sites like The Historic Magnolia House for safe lodging, a hot meal, and a welcoming community. Families often carried meals in shoeboxes while traveling, ensuring they had food when restaurants refused to serve them.

Today, we honor that legacy through food, storytelling, and community.

🍽️ Dinner Pickup, 5:30 PM–6:45 PM
🎬 Sinners Begins, 7:00 PM
