Gate City Lodge No. 694 is a subordinate Masonic Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.

Gate City No. 694 (est. 1951) is a Masonic Lodge chartered by and subordinate to The Grand Lodge of North Carolina of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons. Within our Lodge and Freemasonry all across the state, you will find good men of all backgrounds who seek to become better men in all aspects of their lives by cultivating friendship, morality and brotherly love. Freemasonry is the world's oldest fraternity, and is unaffiliated with any religious or political party. Our lodge is a community of brothers who develop bonds and friendships beyond measure. Through the lodge we are able to engage in introspection, charitable work and goodwill in our surrounding communities and much more. We have three primary charities that we support. In no certain order, they are: our senior citizens at WhiteStone: A Masonic & Eastern Star Community, our young ones at The Masonic Home for Children in Oxford and the NC Masonic Foundation. You can find more information about any of them on their websites which are: www.LiveatWhiteStone.org and www.mhc-oxford.org. The Masonic Foundation information can be found on the Grand Lodge website at www.GrandLodge-nc.org. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from January through November with dinner at 6pm and a lodge meeting 7. December meeting dates are usually on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday s due to the holidays. We meet in the Blue Lodge Room of the Greensboro Masonic Temple located in downtown Greensboro at 426 W Market Street. If you or someone you know has any questions regarding Masonry, don't hesitate to ask. We’d love to talk about Masonry and what it has done for us! For general questions about the lodge please reach out to Matt Ballance at [email protected].

What an amazing communication we had this evening!

First, we recognized first time visitors from Florence Memorial, Greensboro 76, and Winston Salem lodges to our meeting with our ceremonial lapel pins.

Next, we honored WB Jody Mack with an honorary membership to Gate City for his tireless efforts and support throughout the year, as his brother, WM Julian, sat in the East.

Finally, we initiated Brother Nayan Patel into masonry, with several other Entered Apprentices there to witness as well.

Congrats to Brother SW Dortch who presented the lecture for the first time with special assistance from WB Dylan Llewelyn of Greensboro Lodge no. 76 and the District 23 Deputy Grand Lecturer, Brother Kenny Andrews.

Happy early Halloween, everyone, and see you in November!

Several brothers attended the joint Master Masons degree out on by several of our lodge PHA lodges. We were happy to support in their laudable undertakings to raise 11 new Master Masons!

Grand Lodge 2026 is complete, and the lodge had a great showing, earning another year of the Platinum Level of the Lion and Pillar Award. We are still one of the only two lodges in the 23 Masonic District to receive it along with our brothers at Greensboro "Old 76" AF&AM. Congrats to our brothers in both lodges for representing the district. Congrats also to the newly elected Grand Master Gilbert Bailey. We look forward to his programming in 2026-2027!

Nothing better than being able to take the night off and head the ballpark with our families! Catching the Greensboro Grasshoppers game down the street this evening.

Awesome job to our degree team tonight as we initiated brothers Kendrick and Dakota. Thanks to all the lodges and visitors who attended to support us, including Guilford Lodge 656, Luther Kimbrough Lodge 838, Greensboro Lodge 76, and Invincible Lodge 251. Special to congrats to current Senior Deacon brother Michael for presiding in the East for the first time. He and the team represented well all the hard work they had put in practicing. We’ll be back soon with more!
