Brookhaven Mill Farm Brookhaven Mill Farm is an historic 23-acre farm built in the 1800's that raises sheep as its main crop.

Weekdays we host educational tours for groups and weekends we are an events venue, farm store, petting zoo, camping site and a Bed & Breakfast!

June is National Camping Month and Brookhaven Mill Farm has 2 campsites, just sitting there, ready to have an RV, camper, or tent pull up and claim!

We charge $25/nite for rustic camping. Each of our 2 campsites includes a picnic table, fire ring, and access to a regulary-maintained porta john.

Dogs are allowed on-leash in the camping area, or off-leash at the adjacent field next to the camping sites.

Want to have a special father-and-son weekend and haven't taken him camping yet? We are a great way to try it out and work out the kinks. If you come on the weekend, you can walk up to our petting zoo and farm store and get ice cream and drinks and food to feed our animals! We allow camping during the week as well but the rest of the farm is closed to the public.

My Mother's Day was highlighted by my son driving down to NC to spend a week with me, and repairing things around the farm.

Usually he sends flowers and a gift, but I will take a re-floored utility trailer over flowers anytime!

This utility trailer bed had rotted and a tire had been flat for months. He put in a new floor and fixed the tire and it's like Christmas!

Not to mention the work he did on the kiddie train, getting my truck up and running, and other small but much needed jobs around the Farm!

Having him down for this visit and the extra helping hand this week is a wonderful Mother's Day gift!

This Sunday, May 10, after you have made Mom's breakfast and she has opened her cards, why not top off celebrating Mother's Day with a visit to the farm where Mom gets special treatment:

*A free visit inside our sheep or donkey area

*A free bag of feed to feed sheep or donkeys

*A free visit inside our newest bunny exhibit

What a better way to spend with mom than at a Farm with donkeys, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, bunnies, guinea pigs and a turkey that will wish Mom a very loud gobble-gobble HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Several events today made the day fly by in a blink of an eye!

First, we had a birthday bash for 4-year-old Krishna and her 16 closest friends and their parents; then a Gideon group of about 20 visitors stopped in and enjoyed a tour of the farm and ice cream afterwards; and finally our B&B guests, who arrived at closing time to enjoy the farm to themselves! They especially enjoyed the baby bunny cuddle session!

And I was afraid today's cloudy forecast was going to put a damper on things...can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!! Supposed to be sunny all day!

Pace is picking up at the Farm, partly due to this gorgeous spring time weather!

The first Saturday in May has a Barnyard Birthday Bash happening from 11-1.

After that, a group of 15 visitors, attending a convention in Greensboro, will stop by to enjoy our sheep petting area to experience sheep-hugging for the first time!

Later that afternoon, first-time guests to the B&B arrive to walk around the Farm, collect eggs for their Sunday breakfast, and pick out their favorite jam and sausage at Charlie's Farm Store!

Sunday will be the best day for those of you wanting to visit our petting zoo and feed our animals.

The baby bunny exhibit is open and guaranteed to melt your heart as you watch these palm-sized babies learning how to hop! Adorable!

You can also feed our 10-week old bunnies who are now ready to go to good homes.
