We recently hosted a breathtaking outdoor bridal shower under the fall sky! It was a milestone moment for our space as we used our giant outdoor tent for the very first time, creating a wonderful setup for the bride-to-be and her guests. Every detail came together perfectly. ⛺🥂

Of course, no event here is complete without incredible food. The family brought some of their favorite foods and The Grinnellian team prepared a seasonal spread that hit every note:
🍎 Spiced apple shandy
🎃 Homemade pumpkin scones
🍂 Freshly baked apple cinnamon rolls
🧀 A stunning charcuterie board

Congratulations to the bride and thank you for letting us share your special day!

☕🫖 We’re all mad here... for birthday celebrations! 🎩✨Down the rabbit hole we went! We recently hosted a magical Alice in Wonderland themed tea party at The Grinnellian to celebrate one very special birthday girl. 🌹🐇

The crown jewel of the party? This stunning, show-stopping cake crafted by our very own Dorothy! Her detail work brought Wonderland to life, and it tasted every bit as amazing as it looked. 🍰✨

Nothing brings us more joy than helping your dream events and visions come to life (though the sweet memories created along the way are a very close second)! ❤️♣️

📍 Looking to host your next special event or milestone celebration at The Grinnellian? Send us a message to start planning—we’d love to help make your vision a reality!

Family Weekend at Grinnell College was a whirlwind—our inn was completely full of laughter, families, and amazing campus energy! But the most special part of the weekend? The very first guest who ever stayed at The Grinnellian when we opened a year ago returned this weekend... and officially became our 444th check in! 🤯❤️

In numerology 444 is considered an "angel number" and symbolizes protection, stability, and being on the right path. To hit 444 guests with the person who started our journey feels like pure magic and a reminder of why we love what we do.

To our 444th check in—and every single person who has stayed with us this past year—thank you for making The Grinnellian your home away from home. We wouldn't be here without you! 💛🏠

Huge shutout to the GHS FCCLA students for helping us tackle our fall cleanup at The Grinnellian! 🧹🍁 From trimming bushes to dead-heading all of our hostas, this group worked hard and was a joy to host.

Did you know this group competes at regional and national levels? They are currently fundraising to cover their competition travel costs to showcase their projects.

🤝 How you can support:
If you have paid odd-job opportunities or wish to donate directly to their travel fund, contact Amy Skouson at Grinnell High School ([email protected]). Let's help these kids travel to competition!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us this weekend for our Breakfast Tasting & Room Tour!

We loved filling our spaces with warm conversation, delicious food, and great company. A truly special moment of the morning was getting to host a guest who actually lived at The Grinnellian growing up—reminding us just how rich the history and memories are inside these walls. 🏠

Whether you came for a peek at our newly updated rooms, a trip down memory lane, or a bite of our signature breakfast spread—where we served everything from cranberry orange muffins and pumpkin scones to apple cinnamon bacon—we are so grateful for your support as we celebrate our first year in these walls.

Missed this weekend's event? We can't wait to welcome you through our doors soon!
