Today at the museum we celebrated the Kathy Buckley exhibit for a tour group from Texas and South Carolina. They loved seeing the Irish food items on display and discovering her history as an Irish American Executive Chef 👩‍🍳originally hired to come to America by JP Morgan.

Celebrating Pride Month

This Pride Month, we proudly celebrate the diversity, courage, creativity, and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community. At The Global Embassy of Culture and the United States Presidential Service Center, we are especially grateful that many of our own family members are active participants in Shelby Pride, and that a number of our team members, volunteers, friends, and supporters are also engaged in Pride activities throughout the year.

We believe that culture thrives when every voice is welcomed, every story is respected, and every person is free to be their authentic self. Pride Month is a joyful reminder that friendship, understanding, inclusion, and love make our communities stronger.

As organizations dedicated to bringing people together across cultures, backgrounds, and traditions, we are honored to celebrate alongside our LGBTQIA+ brothers and sisters.
