It’s that time of year again… and things are about to get a little oozy! 🎃🧪

For National Pumpkin Day, we’re bringing back a fall favorite with a STEM twist! Grab your supplies and get ready to make one seriously foamy Jack-O’-Lantern.

Here’s what you’ll need:
1️⃣ 1 cup hydrogen peroxide
2️⃣ 2 packets dry yeast (approximately ¼ oz each)
3️⃣ 6 tablespoons warm water
4️⃣ Food coloring
5️⃣ A cylinder (at least 500 mL) or a flask that can hold the liquid
6️⃣ 2 tablespoons dish soap (any kind will do)
7️⃣ A pumpkin carved with a simple design, so the foam can easily flow through
8️⃣ Safety goggles

Now, let’s get this pumpkin bubbling! 🫧

⚠️ Caution! Do not touch the foam. It will be extremely hot due to an exothermic reaction. Allow a few minutes to cool.
