Spicer-Hughes Marina and Motel Welcome to Spicer~Hughes Marina and Motel, L.L.C.’s official page! There are two boat launches on-site. Come by and see us for all your fishing needs!

Spicer-Hughes Marina is located on Kelso Bayou on the west side of the Calcasieu Ship Channel. We have many things to offer to make your fishing adventures everything you want them to be! We offer live bait, ice, dockside non-ethanol fuel, and a tackle store with baits, corks, hooks, etc. We have 8 motel rooms and 4 cabins for nightly rentals.

End of winter 2026. Louisiana marsh in Hackberry. Low tides and water pushed out. Found these reds in a canal that still had 6’ to 8’ of water in the middle....
