A week ago, we shared the exciting news that Ole & Lena hatched two loon chicks. We're happy to report that both chicks are still alive, well, and sticking close to mom and dad as they learn the ways of the lake.

Since they're doing so well, we think it's time these little fluffballs had names!

What should we call them? Drop your name suggestions in the comments. Whether it's something classic, Minnesota-inspired, lake-themed, or just plain fun, we'd love to hear your ideas.

UPDATE: The 8th-10th has been booked but the 4th-7th is still available!

Less than a month until the 4th of July means we're making it easier to sneak away to the lake!

Cabin 4 is still available July 4th–11th but now with a 3-night minimum stay instead of a full week rental.

If you're looking for a place where a holiday weekend doesn't mean crowded beaches, packed boat launches, and constant noise, this might be exactly what you're looking for.

Wildwood on Man Lake is a small resort with just 4 lakeside cabins, thoughtfully spaced apart for privacy. We're also located on a private lake with no public access, so even during one of the busiest weekends of the summer, the lake remains calm and uncrowded.

Spend your days fishing, kayaking, swimming, reading, or simply enjoying the scenery.

Good news from the lake!

Ole & Lena, our resident loon pair, welcomed two chicks yesterday! 😍

If you’ve followed their story over the years, you know it hasn’t always been easy growing their family- some years the eggs don’t hatch, and other years the chicks don’t survive past the first couple weeks.

We’re cheering them on and hoping this is the year both make it all the way through summer!

Fun fact: in 1 week they will double in size! 😲

With his first 6 casts of the night he caught 5 smallmouth! 😲
The largest catches of the night were these ones 👇🏼 measuring in at 20 1/2”, 21 1/2’, and the last a whopping 22”!!!
