Congratulations 🎈 to all of you on giving these precious dogs 🐕 “Forever Homes”.

OREO, PILOT, DOTS, BENNY, ROGER & SNOW HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!!!
We are singing from the rooftops right now as 6 out of 8 dogs at today’s adoption event found the best homes ever! Foxy and the Hounds started the day very early on KTLA 5 Morning News with Kacey Montoya and had such a fantastic turnout at our Event! Thank you to all of our adopters; Sami Lavin for being the most incredible foster and falling in love and officially adopting Oreo, Carla Blumenkrantz for adopting Pilot, Renee Englehart for adopting Dots, Marlene Batista for becoming a 2 time Foxy adopter and adopting Benny, Terrie and Ed Partida for adopting Roger, and Linda Westbrook for watching our KTLA segment this morning and coming to our event and adopting Snow! A huge thank you to our incredible fosters who take such amazing care of our dogs until we place them in their perfect forever homes. Fosters save lives and we are forever grateful! Thank you to Ruby the Groomer for coming out today as well! We love Ruby and Lacey so much!

All of our Costa Rica dogs have now been adopted and we are talking about taking another trip in June to rescue even more. It’s been a long day, but such a great one, and we are doing the happy dance over here. Our hearts are so full, and we could not be any happier knowing that Oreo, Pilot, Dots, Benny, Roger, and Snow will have a lifetime filled with love, cuddles, adventure, and the most beautiful families to call their own!

Our Story

Stewarts Pond Campsites on South Shore Rd. in Hadley, NY, owned and operated by the Byron Family since 1965, is currently in it’s 54th season. The Camp is currently being run by Jim and Joanne Byron, son of the original owners/developers James Byron, Sr., and wife, Dorothy. Jim and his 2 sons, started by clearing 10 original sites #1-10 which make a “loop”, with #1 being across from the Main Bathroom/Shower House across the Camp Road, then to the right of that first site is #2 , and keep going right “around “The Loop” and you come back to the small intersection in front of Site #13. We presently have 65 sites total.

We are located on a very scenic and quiet 5 mile lake, where all water sports are permitted, along with all types of boats and motors. Fishing is permitted with license only. (Those 15 and under do not need a license). We have a a very nice Camp Beach, with lifeguard on duty, and docks right next to the beach. Fishing is permitted to the left and right of the beach, along the shoreline, and down at The Waterfront/Cove/ and The Point areas, and also near the Boat Launch area which is on the old Hadley Rd., just past our brown rental “Cottage”which is located just before you get to the Camp’s Main Entrance.

Our 2 bedroom cottage can be rented either by the day, weekend, or month which is located very near our Boat Launch, across the lake from Stewarts Dam. (Details, prices, maps, photos, policies, and place to make your reservations with Jim, and get other info is on Stewarts Pond Campsites.com. We also have a page, Stewarts Pond Campsites, written and edited by Joanne Byron. There are many photographs of all aspects of the Camp, including Staff, the Campsites, our Recreation Hall (Rec Hall), the Lake and Beach/Docks Area, our Office/Store area and the entire area around our residence (the grey farmhouse), the old red barn by the camp Entrance, “Byron Field” in back of the Office, the Shoreline from Stewarts Dam up to the Conklingville Dam. Includes photos of our wildlife here, boaters, jets skiers, fishermen, families enjoying the beach, and also their Campsites, with many more. (Campers are also welcome to post their own photos taken here enjoying an activity at Camp).

We are open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Please make all Reservations or ask questions on our website. (Those not able to do this online, are able to call us at 518-696-2779. If we don’t answer, we most always try to return our calls promptly). Jim and I hope to meet you this summer season 2019!!
