As we approach the Linz Heritage Angus Production Sale on September 18 in Byars, Oklahoma, we’re highlighting what makes investing in LHA genetics about more than the sale itself.
The LHA Calf Buyback Program was built to create long-term partnerships with producers while helping meet the growing demand for Linz Heritage Angus Genetically Verified beef. Through the program, qualifying calves can continue through the LHA supply chain, giving us the ability to follow their performance and provide valuable data back to our producer partners.
Shown here at Timpas Feedlot in Rocky Ford, Colorado, calves in the program are tracked from the day they arrive, including daily gain, feed consumption and individual carcass data. The calves featured in this video were weaned from their cows before being turned back out on grass for 150 days, a step that supports muscle development and helps us continue building a better end product for Meats by Linz customers.
From genetics to growth to the final product, every step gives us more information to strengthen the program and support the producers behind it.
Because when you invest in Linz Heritage Angus genetics, our goal isn’t a one-time sale. It’s a partnership that continues well beyond sale day.
