A great way to end the day—or save a rainy, windy one! Northern Lights Recreation | Bowling, Mini Golf & Arcade is just a 5-minute drive from Valley’s Chalet. 🙌🏼

We grabbed dinner, bowled a few games, and hit the arcade. Plus, they have a fantastic selection of local draft beers for the adults! 🍻

The arcade was full of energy with a great mix of games and easy wins for the kids. They literally walked out calling it “the best day ever.” Hard to beat that! 😂🎮

at Nubs Nob. Our favorite kid friendly resort hands down at the Valley Chalet.

Nubs Nob offers a 275,000 square foot Beginner Area free of charge. No lift ticket required. It includes the run Big Time, the Purple Lift, and the Big Time Conveyor (AKA “The Space Worm”).

Not a skier? Neither is my sister. Girl loves lodging at the Valley Chalet with a book or hitting up her Pilates class in downtown Petoskey. Try a reformer if you haven’t yet at Aligned Pilates. They offer mat classes too!

Trails at the Valleys Chalet in Trout Creek Resort are available for hiking in the Spring, Summer and Fall, and for snowshoeing and xc-skiing (not groomed) during the winter.

Attention kids of all ages:

Have you ever been on a Scavenger Hunt? When you visit us next time be sure to stop at the front desk at Trout Creek to pick up your packet with a map, pen and directions for the scavenger hunt. The trails are filled with all sorts of paw prints, cool trees and small waterfalls. Have fun hiking while exploring the nature that surrounds the Valleys Chalet🥾🙋🏼‍♀️
