🔥 Campfire Etiquette Reminder 🔥

There’s nothing better than relaxing around a campfire after a day of making memories! To help keep Cypress Cove Retreat clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone, here are a few friendly reminders:

🔥 Burn only firewood, clean paper, and cardboard.
🗑️ Please bag and dispose of all trash in the dumpsters.
🍺 Empty cans, bottles, and other debris should never be left in the fire pit.
🚫 Do not burn plastics, household trash, food waste, or glass.
🏕️ Before checking out, please take a moment to leave your site as you’d like to find it.

A little campsite courtesy goes a long way and helps ensure that every guest arrives to a clean and welcoming space.

Thank you for helping us keep Cypress Cove Retreat beautiful! ❤️

🌪️ Hurricane Season Preparation 🌪️

As hurricane season approaches (June 1st- November 30th), we want to encourage all guests to begin preparing early — especially those living in campers or RVs full time. Severe weather can develop quickly, and having a plan in place ahead of time makes a huge difference.

A few important reminders from campground management:

• Keep propane, fuel, and generators ready
• Ensure your camper is properly secured and maintained
• Have flashlights, batteries, chargers, and emergency supplies available
• Keep important documents in a safe, waterproof location
• Know your evacuation route and have a plan for pets and family members
• Avoid waiting until the last minute to stock up on essentials or dump/fill tanks

We strongly encourage all guests to monitor weather updates closely and prepare accordingly throughout the season.

We will continue to communicate any campground-specific updates as needed in the event of severe weather.

Stay safe, stay prepared, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

What a day. 🌎🩵 Our community showed UP today and the difference we made on our beach was incredible. Piles of trash gone, cleaner sand, and a reminder that small groups of people really can make a huge impact. A giant THANK YOU to everyone who came out and lent a hand!

🌿 Burn Ban Update – Important Notice for Guests 🌿

Good news! Effective today at 8:00 AM, the burn ban has been lifted in 81 counties across North Carolina, including Hertford County.

With campfire season here, we know many of you will be excited to enjoy fires again during your stay at Cypress Cove.

However, we are still experiencing drought conditions in our area, so we ask that everyone continue to use extra caution and follow basic fire safety practices:

🔥 Keep fires contained to designated fire rings only
🔥 Never leave a fire unattended
🔥 Keep water nearby at all times
🔥 Fully extinguish all fires before leaving or going to bed

We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our campground safe while still enjoying everything this season has to offer.

Thank you,
Cypress Cove Retreat
