🍂 THE DRIVE THROUGH HARRINGTON 🍂
One of our regular runs is the drive between Ritzville and Davenport, and along the way we roll right through a little town called Harrington.
It's a quaint little place tucked away in the middle of dryland wheat country. You come over the hills, through miles of wheat ground, and there it is.
On the way in and out of town, keep an eye on the fence lines. Some of those old fence posts look like they've been standing for 100 years. It's interesting to think about the history behind them and everything those posts have seen through the years: the harvests, the hard winters, the families and generations who worked this ground, all leading up to that little town.
Lots of history in Harrington itself, too. Old buildings, a laid-back feel, and a Main Street downtown that still looks alive and vibrant.
This time of year it's always a treat. The trees through town are turning, and you can really see the seasons changing. It's one of those drives that reminds you how beautiful this part of Eastern Washington is.
If you've never taken the back way through Harrington, it's worth the trip. Slow down, look around, and enjoy it. 🌾
