Hale Nalu Sleeps 4, 3-Split ACs & Beach Access

Visitors to the small beach by our hale. I just received the pics bit I am told it was April into May.

For those who are not aware…We have had theses cool sea mammals that are an endangered species and they mate when they feel safe. They were here before us…
Recently, there was a pup attacked & killed by a dog on the north shore of Oahu.

Please watch your dogs and children that play at this beach. A mommy Seal will fly a 300 yard dash to the person or thing that gets near their young per NOAA. I was told by one of their Biologists in person at the Elks Club, another place that they reside. Please respect their natural habitat and give them space. See below info on how and where to report sitings as well as cautionary tips from the official websites associated with these animals. If you see them or turtles, please report to here as well.

Follow These Steps
To ensure your safety and the safety of the monk seal, keep these guidelines in mind as you observe and report your sighting. Learn how to keep your dog safe on beaches.
Give Seals Space
Draw a line in the sand! Keep a large distance from seals on the beach or in the water. If the monk seal is looking at you or has changed its behavior, you're too close.

Locate
Determine the monk seal's exact location for accurate reporting.

Observe
Note physical characteristics such as size and coloring. Does the seal appear weak or skinny? Does it have any open wounds, entanglements or markings?

Call
Call The Marine Mammal Center at 808-987-0765 (Hawai‘i Island) or 808-292-2372 (Maui) with details about the monk seal and your location.

The family has been keeping Clyde’s medical status private. I just got off the phone with him & he said, “Tell anyone you want as the public should know that I will not give up no matter what. Even if I have to have 1,000 of them to survive.”
He’ having a lung procedure done this week and that’ll be his 6th since Vegas. 😞 This is his next attempt to survive. He has, “salt water in his lungs.” He further had me take notes and explained his specific loose ends…

His medical bills are in the millions folks. He’s had to dip into reserves to keep that going and to take care of his family. He has not worked or had steady revenue from his business efforts in nearly 8 months. If there is anything you can do, please donate to assist to relieve pressure. We need positive vibes and community for him. So big him! If you have his number, do not hesitate to call, text and send your love. Life is too short and he’s been through so much in the last year, but his life is a legacy. Don’t wait… Just to listen to his stories of all his experiences is a treasure.
