Deerfoot's Ladies Musky Fishing School is well underway! Thanks to Max Wolter, Kendal Patrie and the WI DNR team for a fantastic afternoon of sturgeon and musky netting so our gals can get up close and personal with these giant fish!

In the last week, our local fire deparment has responded to a few fires right in Deerfoot's neighborhood (pretty weird to hear sirens up here in the Northwoods!), and our Fire Chief has asked us to help remind the community that as of Sunday, 10/11/26 the current Fire Danger is High and to always check https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/wisburn/ #/ or call 1-888-WIS-BURN BEFORE burning for the current Fire Danger level, which is updated daily at 9:00am. Thanks for helping keep our community safe!

The water may be low, but Deerfoot's lagoon was dredged last fall and there is still plenty of water for launching!
