A brand new big beautiful vibrant all cotton USA flag (made in the USA) was hoisted up at Hickory Lodge today replacing a faded and slightly torn older one. It was time to retire the old flag. Cotton flags look so much better! They fly nice and the colors are so bold! Love it. The old flag will be properly retired soon.

If you have a flag flying at your home please make sure its replaced when torn, faded etc. When you take the old flag down please do it with respect and take the old flag to a fire department, police station, VFW, Boy Scout Troop, etc so it can be properly retired. Look up how to fold it and do it with your kids!

Hickory Lodge will be doing a proper flag retirement ceremony in late spring. If you live in the area feel free to drop your old one by. Happy to add it to the retirement ceremony.
