Cheers to October!

The weather has been just beautiful and we are even supposed to get a lil rain! Reward yourself for a wonderful October with one of our Fall Signature Drinks…….The Blood Orange Apple C***r Side Car is back in action and frosty and oh soooooooooo delicious!

It’s Spooky Season! Bring your kiddos by to The Midland Hotel and Chop House for Trick or Treat on Pecan Street this Friday, October 30th, Safe and blocked for the kiddos to have fun starting after school lets out.

All the stores will be handing out candy. Technically we are only handing out TREATS! No Tricks around here folks!

Today is the day for Lunching, Brunching and Dinner Time at The Midland Hotel and Chop House! Every Sunday you can have whatever meal you want to enjoy between 11 and 3!

We are pulling out all the stops! Herb Roasted Prime Rib and Red Chile Fried Chicken steal the show every Sunday. But you can enjoy whatever your hearts desire. From our hand crafted sandwiches with bread from Two Clay Birds, Steaks and Chops Cast Iron Seared to perfection, or even Shrimp Fritatta & Creme Brûlée French Toast for the win. We have something for everyone!

Be sure and try one of our homemade desserts or one of our Fall Signature Drinks. We have a lot of items to choose from. Heck, you can even have dessert first and boy do I have my eye on that Cherry Cobbler. Or the Blood Orange Apple C***r SideCar……..that’s a mouth full, Cheers Everybody!

Alrighty folks! It’s Saturday and we are feeling SAUCY over here at The Midland Hotel and Chop House!

We have two features for tonight and one has a 3 Eye View!
First up, Our Pearcy Ranch Surf-n-Turf has all the things! We are using Chef’s favorite cut, The Pearcy NY Strip has just the right amount of marbling and is Texas Beef at its best, right here in from our own county of Hamilton. This particular cut makes for one of the tenderest and juiciest steaks. We are pairing that with a Caribbean Spiney Grilled Lobster Tail, Hollandaise and Grilled Asparagus. And don’t forget the whipped potatoes. Whipped fresh everyday and twice a day for each service.
2nd up, Our fresh fish feature Falls inline with Fall😂😂. Fresh Wahoo! Pan seared and Parmesan crusted, this fish is light and delightful. Served with Roasted Red Pepper Coulis,Tomato Couscous and Grilled Asparagus.

Tonight’s Fresh Fish Feature at The Midland Hotel and Chop House is Fresh Wahoo! Y’all loved it so much last time that we got it in again! Three days fresh off the boat and while quantities last.

Wahoo is a meaty but flakey white fish. Very clean in flavor with a slight buttery taste. Pan seared with a Parmesan Crisp Crust, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis, Tomato Couscous and Grilled Asparagus.This dish is just delightful. The Fall colors are striking and the flavor is on point!

It will be here before you know it! We are already organizing for decorations for Christmas to have all the trees up and decorated by Holiday Open House. It’s the most beautiful time of the year !

What a weekend to be in Hico! This one goes down in the books! Bacon Bash, Octoberfest, Grand Opening of the Shops at Wylde Roan, Fundraiser for the Fire Department, Adam Hood at Hico Hall, Tarleton Homecoming and don’t forget seeing Elvis at The Green Canoe. Whew! What a time. And there was even a wedding and ranch birthday party thrown in there. Hico is the place to be!

Now for a little Lunch-Brunch Service on this fine Sunday at The Midland Hotel and Chop House from 11 till 3! We have all 3 menus today for your dining pleasure…..lunch, brunch and even the dinner menu. From sandwiches to salads, frittata to prime rib and Seafood Gumbo to Steaks. We have a little bit of everything to offer your family and friends.
