Our Cheeseburger is available for lunch and dinner services and comes out you want it. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and chipotle mayo. But let’s get wild and add house cured bacon, avocado and fried quail eggs sunny side up! Oooh La La!

Black Drum is what you missed last week. Sometimes I’m late to the party on photos🤣so this lovely photo is what you missed.

Now, I don’t want you to miss out this week. So, here it is………But this week, today on this fine Friday we are doing it one better and featuring Copper River Sockeye Salmon! Pan seared and finished with a red pepper veloute sauce & herb salad over green Chile white cheddar grits and grilled asparagus.

My photographer is my expo, my pantry guy and a server and will be on staff tonight. ❤️🤠Clayton is a Jack of all trades, one might say. Stay tuned for photos.

Lunch at the Chop House in historic Hico, Texas? Sounds good to me!

The Chop House is open for Lunch Service:
11 till 3 Thursday thru Sunday. And to make it more interesting, we had a few Brunchy Items to our menu on Sunday.

Just think, all this can be yours! From Sandwiches to Salads, hand cut Steaks to fresh Seafood. We have a little something for everyone.

Thoughts from an adult, just busy adulting:

Maybe I’ll do it different today and start with Dessert at The Midland Hotel and Chop House. I mean we are all adults here😂😂🤣🤣. The Chocolate Torte will never ruin your lunch.

I’m thinking after my dessert, I’m gonna want a Sunday Staple with the Red Chile Fried Chicken. Then I will make my date order the Black Drum Fish-n-Chips, just So I can create my own tasting menu.😀

Well, it is Lunch-Brunch Service and I’m parched. Maybe a glass of Champagne to help make me feel brunchy?

Cheers everybody! Be sure and Try our newest Summer Signature Drink at The Midland Hotel and Chop House !

I mean, who doesn’t love a Tiki Drink! This Pink Pineapple Pina Colada is what Summer Days and Nights are made of.

Pink pineapple infused Appleton Signature Rum is our libation of choice. Coco Real, sweetened coconut, pineapple juice, splash of OJ, Cran & Sprite. Heck, we have the whole kitchen fridge in on this one. And don’t forget the Paula’s Texas Orange.

If this one doesn’t get your taste buds, don’t worry…..we have plenty more to choose from. Strawberry Rhubarb Lemonade and The Lavender Lady are already Summer hits. El Jeffe and Peach Pie Sweet Tea are also back in action and available at The Chop House.
