Highlander is thrilled to welcome our next guest artist Rayland Baxter on Thursday June 25th as the next performer in our Salon Series✨

Rayland has built a career on capturing timeless, deeply human sentiments while bringing colorful characters to life with equal parts humor and pathos, all wrapped together in incredibly crafted songs with his signature vocal style. His catalog is extensive, ranging from his 2012 album Feathers & Fishhooks to 2022’s If I Were A Butterfly, with several acclaimed albums in between including Imaginary Man, Wide Awake and Good Morning, all marked by his perpetual search for magic in the mundane. His catalog ranges from wide open Americana vistas with vivid emotions and dreams to a broader musical terrain informed in part by the late-70’s funk of his youth, where he finds the balance of joy and genuineness even as he reflects on life’s deeper meanings🖤

Highlander Mountain House and The Ruffed Grouse Tavern are pleased to welcome our friends Pete and Ally from the acclaimed Athens, Georgia restaurant Puma Yu’s for a full Tavern takeover on Tuesday, June 23rd.

Known for its bold, creative take on Thai cuisine, inventive cocktails, and thoughtful wine program, Puma Yu’s has quickly become one of the Southeast’s most celebrated restaurants. Chef Pete Amadhanirundr was recognized as a James Beard Foundation Best Chef Southeast Semifinalist in 2024, and Ally Smith — named Georgia’s Best Mixologist by The Local Palate in 2025 — will be here with her creative cocktail pairings.

Guests will enjoy a four-course prix fixe dinner showcasing Puma Yu’s signature dishes, served within the intimate setting of The Ruffed Grouse Tavern.

Tickets are $100 per person and available via RESY or our website. Tax, gratuity, and beverages are not included. Seatings begins at 5:30 p.m, we can’t wait to see you there.

This incredible songwriting talent brought the house down with two legendary performances full of wit, irreverence, and the kind of raw and beautiful songs that gut-punch you in the feelings while you’re still grinning ear to ear 🖤

Highlander is thrilled to welcome singer-songwriter Jeremy Ivey as our next Salon Series Guest on Saturday, May 30th, for the late night fireside set after Bear Shadow. These intimate post-fest shows are always our favorite of the year. That late night magic just has a way of seepin in ✨

Jeremy and his wife Margo Price will both be in town that weekend, and Jeremy will be here in support of his latest album “It’s Shape Will Reveal Itself”, following his 2022 album, the masterful “Invisible Pictures”.

Of the new album, Ivey says “there’s no big narrative or story arc, no shocking diss tracks, no hot-button political statements here,” he continues. “There’s no clickbait, tell-all gossip, no stories of guru producers meditating with monks in the Andes. It’s just a few home recordings with unsightly blemishes, slightly out of tune sleeplessness and warbling, hissing with sometimes clumsy ex*****on. It’s called Its Shape Will Reveal Itself, and if anything, it’s honest and vulnerable.” Nowhere more than on the track “Edge of Darkness” that he lays down with his wife Margo.
