We'll be watching! 🚴
This Saturday, June 13, the George S. Mickelson Trail will be buzzing with activity as more than 125 cyclists take part in The Big Mick, our annual ONE-day endurance ride through the beautiful Black Hills.
A total of 105 riders will start in Deadwood and pedal 109 miles all the way to Edgemont. Another group will begin at the Mountain Trailhead and conquer 49 miles. Participants are traveling from 18 states and range in age from 30 to 75, proving that adventure has no age limit.
Behind the scenes, an incredible team of volunteers will be working hard to keep riders safe and supported. From water truck drivers and radio operators to trail sweeps and trailhead helpers, this event would not be possible without their dedication. We're also grateful for the support of our local sponsors and nationwide vendors who help make The Big Mick a success.
As riders pass through Deadwood, Lead, Hill City, Custer, Pringle, and Edgemont, we invite our communities to cheer them on. Some participants will be experiencing the Mickelson Trail for the very first time, while others have been riding with us every year since 2020.
Good luck to all of our riders. We can't wait to see you on the trail!
