Although summer outreach has ended, fundraising is just picking up for fall! Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island events will be happening throughout the island and Bluffton, so keep following along for upcoming opportunities to support sea turtle conservation. ๐Ÿ’š

As a proud Sea Turtle Safe Stay, Island Rentals of Hilton Head wants to keep our guests and community informed about events supporting Sea Turtle Patrol HHI and the incredible work they do.

๐Ÿข This Weekโ€™s Turtle Fact: The summer heat caused hatchlings to emerge faster than expected, with a record incubation time of just 45 days, compared with this seasonโ€™s current average of 53 days.

๐ŸŒŠ Season Stats:
๐Ÿฅš Hatchling emergence success: 74%
๐Ÿข More than 30,000 hatchlings are expected to leave Hilton Head by the end of September.
๐ŸŒŠ Of those, approximately 300 are expected to make it to the Gulf Stream.

Those numbers are a powerful reminder of why conservation is essential. Every hatchling counts!
