Absolutely killing the Copper Red Baits frog what a fun way to catch them and this was my clients first time ever throwing a frog! He is now hooked for life. Then I had the opportunity to bring out some kiddos and we had a blast out deep catching everything on the shank!!

Decided to switch it up today and come down to the river to try and catch some smallies. I was definitely nervous coming down here since I haven’t been in soooo long but boy am I glad we came it has been amazing.

🍂🎣 FALL BASS FISHING: LET’S TALK BAITS! 🎣🍂

Bass fishing across the South is heating up, and knowing what to throw this time of year can make ALL the difference! 🔥

As bass start feeding heavily on threadfin shad, matching the size of the baitfish is one of the keys to getting more bites. Here are some of my favorite baits to have tied on this fall! 👇

💥 SMALL BUZZBAIT — A great way to cover water, find active fish, and imitate those smaller threadfin shad!

💥 LIGHT SPINNERBAIT — Smaller blades and a lighter profile can be deadly when bass are keyed in on little baitfish.

💥 ALABAMA RIG & CAST MINNOW — If you’re chasing schools of bass feeding on bait balls with LiveScope, these can be absolute GAME CHANGERS!

💥 FROG — Fishing a lake with grass? Don’t overlook the frog! Work a copper-red frog over thick grass mats when you’re looking for that BIG BITE! 🐸

💥 POPPER & SPOOK — When the grass is just below the surface, these topwater baits can produce some incredible explosions!

💥 JERKBAIT — Find a hard grass edge and work that bait parallel to it. This is a great way to trigger quality bites from bass using the edge as an ambush point.

💥 CHATTERBAIT — One of my favorite baits for covering water around grass and putting bass in the boat throughout the year!

🎯 THE BIGGEST TIP FOR FALL: FIND THE BAIT! Pay attention to what the bass are feeding on, match the size of the forage, and don’t be afraid to downsize your presentation.

Sometimes, the smaller bait is what it takes to catch the BIGGEST BASS! 💪🎣

What a week it’s been, every single one of these fish were caught on top water. The Damiki popper and the Berkley Fishing choppo have been the main players all week and probably will be for the rest of the month.
