Hotel Josephine A Boutique Hotel in Historic Holton, Kansas. Hotel Josephine was built by A. D. Walker in 1890 in Holton, Kansas. She was born September 19, 1889.

The Hotel was was named after Walker's daughter, Josephine. The Josephine opened when she was four months old. She graduated from Holton High School in 1908. Josephine continued her education and graduated from Kansas University. The Hotel was in operation continuously longer than any hotel west of the Mississippi until it closed in December of 2010. ri Ford purchased and reopened the Josephine. In November 2020, Sara Fox purchased and revamped Hotel Josephine to bring out a more modern feel to the historic building.
