To be an ultimate host and leader inside a community of world travelers. Providing guests with a daily authentic local experience and insight into our neighborhoods so everyone who visits Waikiki is delighted. To assist with the management and leadership of a team of up to 10 staff who are inspired to work for you and ultimately achieve the companies long-term objectives of creating the best hostel in world!!!
This is a live on-site position. You are compensated with housing, base pay and bonuses.
Activities & Responsibilities:
-Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of The beach Waikiki Hostel, To welcome, host and leave world travelers delighted every day with the experience they receive from visiting an International Travelers House
-Perform at a high level in accordance with company goals and Monthly Performance Reports
-To Complete Daily Manager on Duty Playbook (M.O.D.) ensuring the hostel had a great day of operations
-Train and Supervise Receptionists and Housekeepers
-Retrain Receptionists when necessary and discipline if necessary.
-Implementing and Enforcing the Company Policies and Procedures passed down from upper management.
-Crewing up a talented team of cultural exchange members via: Workaway, Worldpackers and Helper X.
-Respond to company emails and Slack Chat messages within 24 hours
-Work with Manager to conduct shopping and maintain inventory for required food and general supplies.
-Protect and Safeguard company assets and equipment. -Protect Company from exposure to Liability.
-Complete Daily Banking Reports and deliver Corrected/Reviewed shift drops, Expense Reports
-Coordinate and plan Special Events, Community Days and Holiday Parties to keep the energy fresh and positive
-Run or supervise minimum of One Adventure Activity per week. Ensure high participation in all activities
-Schedules and responsibilities subject to change at anytime
Required Work Experience:
-1 year minimum hospitality experience
-Knowledgeable and experienced hostel traveler
-6 months of leadership or management experience
