If you are picturing a heavy evening meal, that is High Tea. This is something else entirely.

Afternoon Tea is a lighter, unhurried affair. It begins with a bespoke tea blend chosen for your mood. Then comes the tray: delicate finger sandwiches, house-made scones served warm with clotted cream, and petite sweets that arrive just when you need them.

Nothing heavy. Nothing rushed. Just the right amount of everything, in the right order, at the right pace.

At The Veranda, this is what a Saturday afternoon looks like. Join us every Saturday for Afternoon Tea.

Every mark tells a story.

Each piece of bamboo in this bowl has been hand-carved into a stamp, an ohe kapala, used in the ancient Hawaiian art of printing kapa, a bark cloth softened through soaking and beating.

The patterns are intricate. The process is intentional. The result is something entirely your own.

Every Monday morning at The Veranda, KISCA invites you to sit down, pick up a stamp, and leave with a handmade kapa bookmark that carries a little piece of Hawaiʻi home with you.

Mondays, 10:00 to 11:00am. Open to all.

Something new is on the table.

The Veranda has always been the place Honolulu comes to slow down. Now there is another reason to linger.

Our shrimp cocktail arrives the way everything here does: with care, with intention, and with a squeeze of lemon that makes the whole afternoon feel a little brighter.

This is The Veranda, refined and refreshed. Reserve your table at the link in bio.

This is aloha, made by hand.

Every Friday and Sunday morning at The Veranda, KISCA invites you to sit down and learn the timeless art of lei making.

Bloom by bloom, strand by strand, guided by someone who has carried this tradition with warmth and joy.

You leave wearing something you made yourself. Something that means something. A lei is a symbol of love, friendship, celebration, and greeting in Hawaiʻi, and this one will be entirely your own.

Fridays and Sundays, 10:00 to 11:00am. Open to all [Reservations required.]

Have you ever made a lei before?

It begins with the pour.

The tea blooms into the cup, a deep, luminous blue that stops you before the first sip. The porcelain catches the color. The tray waits alongside, finger sandwiches and savory bites arranged with the same unhurried care that defines every detail of an afternoon at The Veranda.

This is what Afternoon Tea looks like when it is done exactly right.

Every leaf on the glass chandelier at The Veranda is a different hue.

Cobalt. Amber. Crimson. Emerald.

Caught in the light, they read like the islands themselves, gathered overhead and suspended there for anyone willing to look up.

It is the first thing guests notice. It is the last thing they describe when they get home.

Fresh ahi, wasabi, and two cocktails that couldn't be more different.

One bright and fruit-forward. One classic and spirit-led.

This is what an August evening tastes like at The Veranda.

Two drinks. One Oʻahu summer.

One arrives golden and bright, pineapple perched at the rim, the kind of sip that tastes exactly like an August afternoon should. The other comes deep and cool, crowned with fresh mint and calamansi, unhurried in a tall glass full of ice.

At The Veranda, the season always arrives in a glass first.

This is what slowing down looks like.

The sun finds your table gently. The bespoke tea blend has been chosen. The three-tiered tray arrives without rush.

There is no version of this afternoon that asks anything of you except to be here.

Ten minutes from Waikīkī and a world away from it.
