🎆 It’s almost time for the 4th of July and it’s extra special this year because America turns 250 years old! ❤️💙 Don't miss celebrating at Hot Springs' annual 4th of July fireworks display on Lake Hamilton - Saturday, July 4 at dark.

In case of rain, the fireworks will be rescheduled for Sunday evening, July 5. The fireworks will be shot from the middle of Lake Hamilton from barges located on the east side of Highway 7 at the first Highway 7 bridge opposite the DoubleTree Hot Springs.

Tune into US 97.7 Country to hear music synced to the firework display! 📻 Those who want to watch the display from the water are urged to keep a safe distance from the fireworks launching area and keep watch for fellow boaters.

On August 11th, Hot Springs will celebrate 150 years! 🥂🎂 Join us in celebrating our sesquicentennial on Tuesday, August 11 with a 150th Birthday Gala, presented by Oaklawn, at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Proceeds will be given to the Garland County Historical Society.

Guests in attendance will receive a special commemorative coin honoring the 150th anniversary. The Birthday Gala will feature a premier cocktail reception, an elegant seated dinner, celebrity guest speakers, live entertainment and a ceremonial cake cutting.

🎟 Tickets for tables seating eight are available now at hotsprings.org/events/hot-springs-150th-birthday-gala/

“Although our city’s history goes back hundreds of years to the time when Indigenous people gathered around the thermal springs in The Valley of the Vapors, the town of Hot Springs was formally incorporated with a formal government, a mayor, aldermen, city ordinances and police and fire departments on August 11, 1876,” Mayor Pat McCabe said in announcing plans for the birthday gala.

"The Garland County Historical Society is very grateful to be the beneficiary of this fundraiser,” Liz Robbins, executive director of the Historical Society, said. “The funds raised will help us preserve Hot Springs history and make its pictures and stories easily accessible to people now and in the future. This is a great way to celebrate our history, especially as we commemorate our city’s 150th birthday."
