Meet SHORELINE’S ALBERT (22-8043-S) – The Fjord Pony Everyone Dreams Of!
Albert is a stunning registered Norwegian Fjord gelding with the NORWEGIAN FJORD HORSE REGISTRY. Standing 14.1 hands tall and born on May 11, 2022, this handsome 4-year-old is the complete package. His strong imported bloodlines, excellent conformation, classic brown dun coloring, and perfectly defined two-toned mane make him a true representation of everything people admire about the Fjord breed.
But Albert’s beauty is only the beginning. We are his 2nd owner.
From the moment you step into the pasture, Albert is the first one to greet you. His kind eye, gentle nature, and friendly personality make him impossible not to love. He genuinely enjoys human interaction and is happiest when he’s spending time with his people. He leads respectfully, stands quietly tied for grooming, bathing, clipping, and tacking, and has the kind of manners that make him a pleasure to have around. Whether you’re an experienced horseman or a beginner, Albert is easy to handle and eager to please.
Albert has been thoughtfully started using natural horsemanship methods, giving him a strong mental foundation that will serve him throughout his life. He knows several fun tricks including laying down on command, saying “yes” and “no,” and following his person freely around the arena. He has been extensively exposed to tarps, pool noodles, bridges, balls, whips, traffic, and countless other obstacles. New experiences are met with curiosity rather than fear, making him an exceptionally confident and reliable partner.
If driving is your passion, Albert shines there as well. He is broke to drive both single and double and has confidently traveled down main roads, back roads, and through busy environments. Traffic, crowds, and commotion do not bother him. Whether you’re heading out for a relaxing evening drive or participating in an event, Albert remains steady, dependable, and enjoyable every step of the way.
Under saddle, Albert truly showcases his versatility. He comes to work with a willing attitude and a genuine desire to please his rider. He is well broke to walk, trot, and canter, picks up his leads correctly, and even has flying lead changes. He moves willingly off seat and leg pressure and has a soft, responsive feel that riders appreciate.
For those who enjoy jumping, Albert is an absolute delight. He confidently navigates full courses, jumping with excellent form and enthusiasm. Honest to the fence and brave beyond his years. His athletic ability paired with his willing temperament makes him an exciting prospect for a variety of disciplines.
Trail riding? Albert loves it. From thick wooded trails to wide-open fields, or swimming in the Kayak rivers, he tackles every adventure with confidence. He rides quietly alone or happily with a group and remains steady no matter where the trail leads. His calm, dependable nature makes him the kind of partner you can trust to enjoy the journey.
Albert embodies everything that has made the Norwegian Fjord breed beloved around the world—versatility, intelligence, reliability, and a kind disposition. Whether you’re looking for a driving horse, trail companion, family mount, lesson horse, show prospect, or simply a trustworthy partner to enjoy, Albert has the talent and temperament to excel.
He is the kind of pony that comes along once in a while—the one that checks all the boxes and leaves a lasting impression on everyone who meets him.
We have absolutely loved our time with him and are excited for him to find his forever family!
Albert is located in Howell, Michigan 48855.
