This group was full of perfect gentlemen. 🧡

I wish you could have seen how quickly they jumped up to help Kathy Ragsdale unload her car and how excited they were to take a picture with her! 👏

One week in, and already a summer full of memories. 🧡

New friendships have been made, confidence has grown, and campers have jumped into every adventure Camp Stewart has to offer. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds!

🧡Chapel always gives us time to reflect on how lucky we are to experience this beautiful place.🧡

🌿BECOMING THE GREEN CATHEDRAL🌿
Prior to 1967, Camp Stewart held Sunday Morning services in the gym. When Si Ragsdale Jr. became Owner/Director, he began looking for a new chapel site. This spot on the cool, quiet banks of the Guadalupe was selected; the Green Cathedral as we know it was born.

BUILDING ON OFFERINGS🪨
All of the stonework at The Cathedral was done by the late Carlos Olade from rock offerings brought by campers and staff each Sunday. God created the site and surroundings.

Second round of first-year campers for Ragsdale Roundup! 🧡

One of our favorite Camp Stewart traditions is Ragsdale Roundup. Campers gather by the number of years they’ve attended camp and head to the Kastle, where Jeeper and Meredith Ragsdale invite them over for a snack and a chat. (Valarie joins the first-year camper Roundups.)

It’s a chance for campers to get to know owners a little better, meet campers of different ages, and know that their door is always open if they ever need anything. We loved spending time with this great group, hearing about their camp experiences so far, and helping them feel right at home at Camp Stewart!

Heart O’ the Hills came to Camp Stewart for a dance, and it was a night full of laughs, dancing, seeing siblings, and making new friends! 🧡❤️

These special camp traditions bring everyone together and create memories that last a lifetime. We loved hosting our neighbors and sharing such a fun evening with them!
