RiverCreek Campground Members:

Please remember that all electric and storage payments need to be paid timely.

Reminder, if you get behind 14 days, a late fee will be charged.

All payments need to be paid monthly and in full by the end of December 31, 2023.

Reminder, renewal for 2024, all payments will need to be paid by February 28, 2023. ($250.00) same as last year.

Some campers were wanting to stop the rule of having to move campers every 30 days. The board has decided to keep it the same so campgrounds do not start looking littered and people start to store too much stuff in their campgrounds making them look all cluttered. We appreciate everyone’s help in keeping the campgrounds looking good!

We have had a compliant from an individual that lives near the campground. Apparently someone was in a ATV/4 wheeler and was tearing up the roads and a farmers farm ground. He was very angry and was threatening to start shooting people. PLEASE DO NOT tear up the roads leading in and out of the campgrounds, stay off property that does not belong to you or the lease, as it will just bring unwanted police presence. We reviewed our security footage at the campgrounds and thankfully, it was not any of our people that did this.

Again, thank you everyone for your support and dedication to making RIVERCREEK CAMPGROUNDS a safe and fun place for all members.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS.

Look forward to seeing everyone in the new year!

Thank you.

Good morning Rivercreek Campground

Due to the forecast cold/rainy weather coming in this weekend, we have found it necessary to cancel the Halloween activities this Saturday, October 28, 2023. We sincerely appreciate Deanna Samms hard work that she puts on for the spook walk but we certainly do not want any of her decorations to be ruined by wind and rain.

We have also canceled the tree clean up day that was also this Saturday morning.

We will try to get the tree clean up rescheduled for a better weekend and hope to have more fun activities in the future.

We appreciate everyone’s assistance in these things and please don’t forget the winter camping.

Thank you.

The soup contest will begin at 4:30 p.m. After everyone has sampled the soups, you will be able to eat the soup/soups of your choice. 10/24/2022

Good morning Rivercreek Campground

The Board would like to take a minute to thank everyone that participated in the Appreciation Day Event last month. We had a fantastic turn out for the meal, the fishing derby, the corn hole tournament, the egg toss and balloon toss. A huge thank you to everyone that helped out setting up, taking down tables, running the corn hold tournament and all other activities. Another big thank you to Jim Yoder and Deanna Samms for putting on the karaoke music after supper. We hope that everyone had spectacular day and the comradery that was shown between campers was a welcome sight to see.

A heads up on the winter camping. The $150.00 winter camping dues are due by November 1, 2022. This needs to be paid to the camphosts. Winter camping consists of camping in an electrical spot without having to pay when you are not plugged in. You only pay the $5.00 per day electric charge when you are plugged into electricity. Winter camping runs from November 1 thru March 31.

Halloween is right around the corner and our celebration will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022. This will consist of a pot luck supper to being around 5:00 p.m. Members are to bring their favorite dish along with their own plates, silverware and napkins. There will be a costume contest for children 12 and under. All campers are welcome to bring candy for any children that want to go camper to camper and trick or treat. Deanna Samms will be putting on a “Halloween display/walk” around dusk. We will put up signs at the lease that day as to where exactly this will take place.

We will be having cleanup tree day on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. We will use this opportunity to trim/clean up as many trees as we can get accomplished that morning. The more help we have, the faster it will go. Let’s everyone remember the campground rules and have a wonderful time using the campgrounds and remember any issues need to be brought to the President, Montie Stewart (620)960-3588.

Thank you

09/12/2022

Due to a significant number of members complaining about members having the same guests out numerous times without a benefit of a membership the board has decided to change Rule #4 to read as follows:

Members are allowed to have guests, Not to Exceed (NTE) 4 adults plus their minor children, day picnic or visit with them over night, for a total of 5 visits per year, provided that this privilege is not abused. However, if in the opinion of the Groundskeeper, Rivercreek Campground President, Vice-President, or Secretary that a member is abusing the privilege they may suspend Rivercreek Campground member=s privilege. The suspension may be appealed to the Board. If a member continues to abuse their privilege, their membership maybe terminated.

There will be no ice delivery until after the fair.

Just a reminder of a few rules:

Members need to remember there is a strictly enforced speed limit of 10 mph in the ENTIRE campground. No one is to be spinning kitty’s/circles in the campgrounds. These rules are in place for everyone’s safety.

Members need to be present with their guests when they are on the campgrounds, this includes when they are fishing.

Rule No. 11 states, “Limit of 4 fish per day per Rivercreek Campground card. A fine will be assessed, not exceed $10 per fish, after 4 on a stringer and the excess fish will be returned to pond. All guests may only fish with a member. Fishing Nets are prohibited.”

Members are responsible for their guests.

The fishing pond will be closed the week of September 18-September 24 for appreciation day. We do not want the fish all fished out prior to the fishing derby.

There is absolutely no giving out of gate codes!!

The board have been informed that some members are inquiring about “term limits” for board members/officers. Our By-laws state the follows:

“The officers of the RiverCreek Campground Club, Inc shall be the President; Vice-President; Secretary and Treasurer. No person shall be eligible to hold any office unless he shall have completed at least one year as a member of the club. To become eligible to hold an officer position member must have completed as least one two-year term as a board member first, except when the position is filled by appointment and approved by the board of directors to fill a vacancy.
The election of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and members of the Board of Directors shall be held on the second Sunday of April of each year.” (The board usually holds elections on a Saturday as its more convenience for more members.)

The President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and either 2 or 3 of the board members are voted on EVERY year. Every member as long as they have been a member for over 1 year can be nominated to become a board member. The election takes place in April at the campgrounds.

APPRECIATION DAY is Saturday, September 24, 2022. The fishing derby will start at 7:00 a.m. for ages 12 and under and adults. A corn hole tournament will be held at 1:00 p.m. and sign up starts at 12. There will be a $5.00 per person fee which will go toward prize money. There will be an egg toss and balloon toss around supper time. Supper consists of hamburgers and hotdogs and members are to bring a covered dish (please not chips) and their own silverware/plates/napkins. Prizes will be drawn for members after supper and there will also be a 50/50 pot. Please find Sue Keazer, Ashley Cain or Monie Arnett to purchase these tickets. Music will be provided after supper by Deanna Sams and Jim Yoder.

Halloween will be held on October 29, 2022. Deanna Sams will be putting on the spook walk again this year (Yeah Deanna). There will be a potluck supper and members will bring their own silverware/plates/napkins. A costume contest for kids 12 and under after the supper. The spook walk will begin around dusk. The front part of the back trails will be closed for the spook walk from Friday/Sunday.

Let’s everyone remember the campground rules and remember what the campgrounds stands for, family, friendship and fun. Remember any issues need to be brought to the camphosts, Cindy/Mike Miller and/or campground President, Montie Stewart.

Thank you everyone and let’s continue to make the campgrounds a safe, fun place to be!!

06/29/2022

RiverCreek Campground Members:
The Appreciation Day that was scheduled for July 16, 2022, has been moved to September 24, 2022. It was moved due to July being so extremely hot and hopefully September 24, 2022 will bring in much nicer, cooler weather. It is the board’s hope that since it is being moved that more people will come out and join in on all the fun activities that will be held. We will still have the
fishing derby, corn hole tournament, egg toss, balloon toss, food and prizes (50/50 drawing) and music/karaoke that evening. We will continue to see what other activities we can come up with in the next couple months. We will still continue to sell the 50/50 tickets so please see Sue Keazer or Monie Arnett to purchase these.

Thank you.
