We’re reaching out with a quick update on our upcoming 2026 lodging season.

The Roosevelt Inn will be opening a little later this year—on March 29—due to some long-overdue personal health tune-ups. 🙂

As we look ahead to the new season, we’ve made a thoughtful effort to keep our rates at last year’s levels for the majority of 2026, and even lower them where possible. We understand how challenging the economy feels right now, and we know our guests feel it too. To help, we’ve reduced weekday rates and rates on some of our quieter weekends. We’re also continuing to offer our regular discounts—Senior, Veteran, Culinary, and others—available for the first 50% of our rooms booked. Our popular three-plus-night stay discount is available for all rooms in our inventory (no blackout dates).

Please note that these savings are only available when booking directly on our website: rooseveltinnofhydepark.com.

Rates will increase as the motel fills, so for the best value, we encourage you to book early.

If you book early and later find a lower rate for the same room type and dates—whether on our website or elsewhere—just give us a call on or before your cancellation deadline, and we’ll be happy to match the rate with an updated direct booking. (After the cancellation deadline, the match option is no longer available.)

The FDR Home and Presidential Library Holiday Open House 2025 will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The event includes free admission to the Home and Museum, holiday decorations, and various activities like photo time with Santa, holiday card-making for sailors, and a book fair. The Museum is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the Home has tours from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Roosevelt Inn will be open for Thanksgiving; however, we kindly ask that you reserve your room at least 24 hours in advance during the months of November and December. Please note that we will be open until December 26 this year, after which we will close for our annual winter break. We wish you a joyful Thanksgiving and look forward to welcoming you during the holiday season.

At the Roosevelt Inn, we deeply appreciate our veterans and offer a special discount year-round. To take advantage, simply book your room at least two weeks in advance. On Veterans Day, we also offer a same-day discount rate. (Please note, discounts apply to the first 50% of our room inventory and may sell out on busy dates, so we recommend booking early.)
