Today, I am honored to announce the launch of the Fingerboard Research Collective, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research, education, and innovation at the intersection of agriculture, plant-based medicine, and community wellness.
What began as a small family farm has grown into a larger vision: creating meaningful connections between farming, scientific discovery, education, and public health.
The Fingerboard Research Collective was founded to support agricultural research, educational programming, community engagement, and collaborative initiatives focused on the future of plant-based wellness and sustainable agriculture.
At the heart of this work is BioSignal Systems Lab™, our research and formulation laboratory located at FITCI in Frederick, Maryland. Through BioSignal Systems Lab, we are advancing research involving minor cannabinoids, quality systems, patient-reported outcomes, and future clinical collaborations designed to better understand the role plant-derived compounds may play in health and wellness.
Our vision extends beyond the laboratory.
At Fingerboard Farm, we are building a place where agriculture, science, education, and community come together. Through agritourism experiences, wellness programming, educational events, pollinator conservation projects, and future research initiatives, we hope to create opportunities for people to learn, connect, and participate in meaningful conversations about the future of health and agriculture.
We believe the next generation of innovation will come from collaboration between farmers, researchers, clinicians, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders working together toward a common goal.
As a farmer, founder, and researcher, I have spent years asking a simple question:
How can we use agriculture and science to improve lives while caring for the land that sustains us?
The Fingerboard Research Collective was created to help answer that question.
I am grateful to the many mentors, scientists, clinicians, educators, partners, and supporters who have helped shape this journey, and I look forward to collaborating with universities, healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and industry leaders who share this vision.
Together, we can cultivate knowledge, advance discovery, and create meaningful impact for future generations.
My mission remains the same today as it was when I planted my first h**p crop: to heal the earth and humankind—one plant, one discovery, and one person at a time.
