Thecowpuncher Welcome! HUNTERS, OVERNIGHT GUESTS, CAMPERS, and ALL EQUINE. Pastures, turnouts, round-pens and stalls (coming soon) are available. Campfire areas provided.

Veterinary services in near-by Independence. Turnouts allow for practice runs on barrels, poles, etc.. We provide feed/hay, as necessary, and always fresh water daily. Stalls are COMING SOON (and will be 10x12 and include fresh pine shavings on top of rubber mats). Meals at the guesthouse are provided as CONTACT-LESS delivery. All meals are provided with fresh products and in-season items, as pos

sible. Each meal is provided home-made, and fresh that day. Fishing on the pond is catch 'n release. There is a NO hunting policy on or near the grounds. Swimming in pond is at own risk. Kayaking is available. Life jackets are provided to all guests, and are required. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests. We wish you a relaxing, memorable experience at The Cowpuncher. We wish you'd all come back again and again!

Some of you know about the loss we had during Sunday night's tornado, but for those who do not, we lost the horse hotel. If you scheduled dates in the near future, please understand, but we need to cancel your stays. If you booked and are local, i would be glad to go to your ranches and farms. i will reach out to you individually. Thanks for your patience as we navigate through re-opening on the nearest possible date.

My helper around the barn, Madison Wylie, had a great idea to do a horse visit to people at Montgomery Place in Independence, KS today. One of my lesson students accompanied us. It was fun, rewarding, and a great visit with my mare, Amber (who dressed up in her pink, Halloween slinky). It brought alot of smiles and laughter😀🐎
