Tomorrow begins the week we spend our entire year preparing for.

Our team has spent countless hours brainstorming, meeting over meals, planning, organizing, and tackling project after project—all to create one incredible week of fun, belonging, and memories.

This year feels a little different, though.

This year, all of you stepped in and gave us opportunities to support our campers in ways we simply wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.

Being Camp Director is an incredible honor, but it also comes with tremendous responsibility. While camp is absolutely a team effort, it ultimately falls on the directors to ensure everything comes together and camp happens successfully. More than once this year, we asked for help—and every single time, you showed up for us.

This year, every item on our Amazon wish list was purchased.

This year, every backpack sponsorship was funded.

This year, we unexpectedly lost $5,000 in funding—and you donated that amount and then some.

The success of Camp Moja this year isn’t because of us or our team alone. It’s because our community believed in our mission and made it happen.

“Thank you” doesn’t feel like enough, but thank you.

From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for every person who donated, purchased an item, shared a post, or helped spread the word about our needs. You played a part in making this week possible.

Tomorrow, we will transform our campground into a Mario Wonderland.

Monday, we will open the gates to 75 incredible campers.

And once again, we will change lives.

💛 THANK YOU. 💛

A few days ago, we shared some difficult news.

Less than two weeks before Camp Moja, we learned that we had lost a grant we were counting on to help provide essential supplies and experiences for our campers and staff. We were worried. We were scrambling. And honestly, we weren't entirely sure how we were going to make it all come together.

So we asked for help.

And wow... did you show up.

In just a few short days, our Camp Moja community rallied around us in ways we could never have imagined. Donations came in. Gift cards arrived. Messages of encouragement filled our phones and inboxes. People shared our posts, spread the word, and reminded us that Camp Moja is not just a camp.

It is a family.

Because of YOU, every dollar we thought we had lost has been replaced.

Read that again.

EVERY. SINGLE. DOLLAR.

You made sure our campers will have the snacks, supplies, sunscreen, hygiene items, special treats, and support they need. You made sure our staff can focus on loving and caring for our campers instead of worrying about what might be missing. Most importantly, you made sure that Camp Moja can continue providing the full experience our campers deserve.

The truth is, what you gave us was more than money.

You gave us peace of mind.
You gave us encouragement.
You gave us hope.
You reminded us that this ministry matters.

Thank you doesn't feel big enough for what you've done, but it is what we have to offer today.

This time next week, Camp Moja will be in full swing. Campers will be laughing. Friendships will be forming. Dance floors will be packed. Memories will be made. And every smile, every hug, every moment of joy will be possible because of a community that chose to step up when we needed it most.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in Camp Moja. Thank you for believing in our campers. Thank you for helping us create a place where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are celebrated, included, and loved exactly as they are.

🚨 URGENT CAMP MOJA NEED 🚨

Our Camp Moja family is facing a major challenge.

Less than TWO weeks before camp, we unexpectedly lost a $5,000 grant that we were depending on to help support our campers and staff during camp week. Right now, we have not been able to purchase many of the essential items that help us safely and lovingly care for our campers throughout the week.

Camp Moja is so much more than just a summer camp. It is a place where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are fully celebrated, included, supported, and loved exactly as they are. For many of our campers, this is the highlight of their entire year. It is where they find friendship, confidence, independence, joy, and a true sense of belonging.

In order to make this week possible, we urgently need help covering items such as:
⭐ Meals for our day staff during setup and training days
⭐ Nightly snacks and support items for our volunteer counselors
⭐ Ice cream and treats for camper celebrations and big events
⭐ Sunscreen and hygiene products to keep campers safe and healthy
⭐ Cleaning supplies for camper living spaces
⭐ Emergency forgotten camper items such as towels, shampoo, toothpaste, and other daily necessities

With Camp Moja now just ONE MONTH away, our hearts are so full. 💛

As we’ve spent the last several weeks preparing for camp, we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the love and support our community has shown. From Amazon wishlist donations, to encouragement, to people simply sharing our posts and cheering us on—you have helped make this summer possible for our campers.

Every single item donated is helping create a camp experience filled with joy, fun, inclusion, laughter, memories, and moments our campers truly deserve. Watching everything come together this week as we sorted through donations was such a powerful reminder of just how incredible this community is.

We also wanted to take a moment to apologize that we haven’t been able to personally thank many of you individually this year. It appears Amazon has changed some of their gift list settings, and most items have arrived without gift receipts or names attached.
