Camping on the Grand – Ionia
You know when Toni and I decided to take our 35 acres & turn it in to a campground for the Billy Strings event, I was told by a few local people that I was Nut’s, I DID NOT know what I was doing & I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS IN FOR. As you see I didn’t listen. When we decided to put this together we knew there were people traveling a long way from home to spend the weekend with us. So, we wanted to make sure all of you Camper’s, every 3000 of you that came to Camping On the Grand – Ionia, to what I call (Our Little Peace of Heaven) had the best time ever with no regrets or worries. As the phone calls kept coming we knew we wanted to build something special for You the Biily Goats, the fans of Billy Strings. We knew we needed some special, hardworking and just fun people to help us pull this off. so, we started one by one with our friends and family who we trust and new would Love to join us and make your weekend the Craziest and Funniest ever. Without these people, we could have never pulled this off. It’s amazing how hard they worked, very long hours and yet came back the next day already and exited to be there with all of You, some of the friendliest and fun people we ever met. We never imagined that it would get this big 500 Camp sites all full of people from across the United States and Canada. We really didn’t know whether we would encounter any trouble or not with that many strangers coming all together at once. As you all seen there wasn’t any trouble but just a bunch of Billy Fans having a great time. At least that’s what I saw all weekend even on Sunday when mother nature wasn’t the best to us. So, they say BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME and you sure did. So that being said We hope YA had as much Fun as we did and I will guarantee you if Billy comes home again, we will do this all over again and have a camp site waiting for all you once again.
