Nautical Flea Market in Islamorada to impact traffic

Motorists on U.S. 1 should give themselves extra time to get through Islamorada this weekend as the Nautical Flea Market at Founders Park will impact traffic on U.S. 1.

The event is scheduled to run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27.

Weekend traffic through Islamorada is typically heavy and this weekend should be even more so near Mile Marker 87 and the park.

Deputies will be assisting with the flow of traffic.

If you looking for a quiet, peaceful place that allows dogs, then this is the place! No large crowds or noise. This is a quaint, small private resort that has vintage cabins with all the amenities. The property is very well maintained and beautiful at night with all the lights! Private beach on the gulf to enjoy fishing, swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach. The staff is amazing & Jane really goes out if her way to accommodate everyone. My flight was cancelled & all I had to do was text her to see if it was possible to stay 1 more night. She responded immediately & informed me she had a cabin available.
