Fall might be our favorite time of year at Whispering Pines. 🌲

The days are a little cooler, the evenings come a little earlier, and it’s finally the kind of weather where you can spend the whole day outside and not be in any hurry to come in.

One year ago, we welcomed our very first guests to Whispering Pines Retreat. We had no idea what the next twelve months would bring.

Since then, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming families celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, fishing trips, girls’ weekends, quiet getaways, a small wedding, and much-needed time together.

We’ve watched as kids catch their first fish, guests see the stars clearly, and more than a few people tell us they didn’t want to leave.

We opened Whispering Pines in July 2025 with equal parts excitement and uncertainty.

By year’s end:
• Nearly every weekend was booked
• December was completely full
• 93 nights hosted in our first partial year

What surprised us most wasn’t just the bookings—it was how many guests told us the cabin became their place to reconnect, reset, and breathe.
