Beautiful morning here at SGL as the sun rises and the chickens forage.

Sometimes this place just takes my breath away with its beauty. It makes me stop and breathe and just be - there is time for the stress and rush of every day life over that hill; but, for now, in this moment, there is peace, beauty, and joy.

Winter moon over the frosty marsh and snow filled fields here at the lodge. The snow is sure sticking around. I expect we will have some melt off the next couple of days as we get a ways over freezing. While it can make life interesting when you have to go places, it sure is beautiful.

For those making the trip out to the lodge, the roads are absolutely passable and dry in most areas. Xavier is single lane due to the snow on both sides, so be alert. And, our drive on the hill can be a bit difficult to get up without four wheel drive (Sorry about that Rural Gas).
