Little Sugar Farm

Little Sugar Farm Retreats, Weddings, Reunions, Weekend Adventures in Glamping Tents and our heritage Farmhouse. It's always beautiful on the farm! Jana, Paul & Niki

On the banks of the Little Sugar Creek where our ancestors bought land in the mid 1800s lies the Little Sugar Farm of almost 400 acres. Jana and Niki inherited the property in 2006 after our Pawpaw died where he and our Grandmother Junie lived since the mid 1960s raising cattle, chickens, pigs and hay. Prior to our grandparents our great grandparents Turner & Von Russell owned the property and ou

r great, great grandparents Willie and Zora were actually the first of our ancestors to live in the farmhouse which from what we can tell was built in 1914. The farmhouse was at the time built with two bedrooms and one bath then throughout the years it has been added onto now including three bedrooms, bunkroom, 2 1/2 baths and 2 living areas, dining and kitchen, including a large porch perfect for watching wildlife added in the 1950's. In the mid 1970's, June & Clark added a new kitchen, living room, master bedroom and master bathroom. An interior room was once an office is now the "bunk room", perfect for kids to hide out in! Our farmhouse has been a vacation rental since 2010 with hundreds of guests enjoying the farm, nature, creek and local activities throughout the last decade. In 2020 Jana and Paul created the Glamping and Gathering business for unique and new accommodations for guests stays at the farm that would allow us to share even more of our farm with others and allow for groups to gather outside and enjoy the heritage that we've been so grateful to inherit. In addition to the farmhouse we now have over 80 acres which hosts 4 Safari tents, 3 bell tents, a shower house facility with four full baths and two outdoor showers, two outdoor showers and large 2,800 square foot deck two barns and access to the Little Sugar Creek. Our farm has been a gift for entire life and we are so very happy to share it with others and look forward to your visit!

Alright my people here. I made a mistake and I'll own up to it here and now. We replaced one of our tents this morning and dang it was HOT. SO hot that this business owner here forgot she was on this account instead of her personal account when I posted stories about lawns. LOL!!!!!!

Ya'll my personal accounts on IG and FB I let loose a little more than on my business accounts so for that I am sorry. There were some F words on those pictures I shared and I do not post that word on my Little Sugar Farm. We're about some sugar here people. sugar.

Although if you saw them I really do believe we've taken lawns to a whole new level in this country.🤣🤣🤣

You'll love our new tents ya'll they have higher side walls and bigger windows!! Stay cool people stay cool, fall is right around the corner!🤍

I have to be honest,

This oldest daughter of ours simply understands the assignment. She's one of my muses for showing ya'll all the fantastic things we have going on at the farm and on the Little Sugar Creek.

From sitting in the creek, kayaking, taking a fabulous bath while sipping champagne in our outdoor tub and many more shenanigans I cook up for content she's always up to the task.

Her middle name is actually June, after my grandmother Junie. Thank you Kate for always putting up with my requests and showing the awesome activities we've got for our guests to enjoy. I know you love them and the farm too and this is why we do what we do.

Not many people understand this. We put our glampground right where our Pawpaw had hayfields. I often wonder what he would have said about that. LOL....
Our grandmother Junie would have LOVED it.

Every Wild One needs a broom.

If you've been to Farm to Spell before, you know.

There is something ridiculously fun—and maybe just a little magical—about sitting around a table with a bundle of broomcorn, a handle gathered from the farm, ribbons, botanicals and bits of treasure... and watching your broom become entirely your own.

Some are wild.
Some are beautiful.
Some are wonderfully crooked.
And no two ever seem to look alike.

Our signature Farm to Spell broom-making experience returns this October, and your broom and basic embellishments are included with your Gathering Pass.

It's quiet on the farm at night.

Moonlight, crickets, the serenity of an evening full of stars.

It's noticing those moments in our life when we are quiet that we learn to remember and reflect the why's of the universe and our place in it.

Nature surrounds us no matter where we are but there is something special about the quiet country moments. 💙
