There’s something about Halloween in Jefferson that takes me right back to being a little girl. 🎃
Back when Halloween meant walking the neighborhood, going from house to house, filling your bag with candy, and seeing what surprises waited around the next corner. When folks sat out on their porches, the streets were full of children, and the whole evening felt like one big neighborhood celebration.
Somewhere along the way, a lot of places lost that kind of Halloween.
But not Jefferson. ❤️
This picture was taken right here at the Castle last Halloween. Nothing fancy. Just little trick-or-treaters, a bowl of candy, a curious kitty, and a little bit of that childhood magic I wish every child could experience.
And somehow, every October 31st, I get to be that little girl again. Only now I’m on the other side of the candy bowl.
We had a cancellation, so one room has unexpectedly become available for Halloween weekend. And I can’t think of a sweeter time to experience our little town.
If you’ve been longing for the kind of Halloween you remember from childhood, come spend it in Jefferson.
Some things really are just as magical as you remember. 🧡
So if you thought you’d missed your chance to spend Halloween at the Castle, fate may have just handed you another opportunity. 🕯️
