Had another amazing day at Swatara. Met some great Hikers from all over the country today.
Had some lights added to the exterior to keep everyone safe, along with adding a second washing machine. It was a long day but I wouldn’t change a thing!

Yesterday evening we had a hiker stumbled onto the property who was feeling the effects of dehydration and physical exhaustion. He did 26 miles yesterday to reach us. His skin color was pale, he was lethargic and showed symptoms of lack of mental alertness.

I say this every season, please listen to what your body is telling you. You can cut humidity in Pa with a knife. It’s not worth the risk! 🔪 🥵

Today couldn’t have been more opposite than yesterday. Just a few hikers stopped by but that allowed us time to assemble...

Today couldn’t have been more opposite than yesterday. Just a few hikers stopped by but that allowed us time to assemble a shed. It will be used for a place for hikers to change, or loaner clothes and bath towels. 🙌
