You guys asked for the car seat cleaning process, so here it is!

This is one of the few seats you can actually buy brand new in Juneau, so I know a LOT of local families have one (I have 2 in the rental fleet!).

This particular seat had a pretty rough day yesterday 🤢 and needed a serious deep clean. I filmed the whole process and walked through what I’m doing, following the manufacturer’s cleaning guidelines.

And yes, you can absolutely do this yourself!

Or you can drop it off with me and let me deal with it. 😂

One thing I did not have a chance to sneak into the voiceover is that while you are doing a deep clean on your seat, take a moment to check for recalls and expiration dates!

It is my first step in every clean!

A little behind the scenes of what a BabyQuip pickup actually looks like.

Just me, my baby on my back, a Sunday morning, and almost always - So. Many. Stairs.

I’ve been doing BabyQuip in Juneau for 4 years now, and somehow this job has turned into a pretty fun mix of baby gear, cleaning, deliveries, random gear opinions, and always just figuring things out as I go.

If you’re new here, hi 👋 I’m Hunter. I’m your local baby gear person, and I will absolutely talk your ear off about baby gear if you let me.

Rentals, cleanings, gear opinions, Juneau, motherhood, and whatever else I end up yapping about along the way. 🍼🏔️

POV: You walk through the door of your vacation rental, feeling glad you didn’t have to pack half the nursery for the whole family to feel at home.

See the last slide for this week's view.

One less thing to haul through the airport, squeeze into the rental car, or worry about once you arrive.

Juneau boasts some properties with stunning beach frontage, and I always find myself in awe during my deliveries. I meant to capture a photo of the Snoo with its gorgeous view of Lena Beach after carrying it down a few flights—unfortunately, I forgot. But I did manage to snap a picture of a cute friend instead! 😭🫣

One of the biggest benefits of regular baby gear cleaning is that it gives you an opportunity to inspect everything while it's apart. Tires, brakes, folding mechanisms, harnesses, and hardware all deserve a quick check from time to time.
Juneau weather can be tough on gear, so don't forget those routine safety checks! ☔

Are you a stroller or carrier parent for your adventures with kids? Sometimes my customers book the best of both worlds! This client took advantage of the 250+ miles of trails we have to offer in Juneau.

One of my most recent car seat cleaning projects gave some fantastic before-and-after results with a BabyQuip Clean-level package!

This is my highest level of baby gear cleaning service and is designed for gear with significant staining and buildup. Because every manufacturer- and sometimes even different models- has specific cleaning guidelines, I take the time to research each seat before I begin.

Whether it's a car seat, stroller, or other baby gear, I always follow manufacturer-approved cleaning methods to help ensure your equipment stays clean, safe, and ready for your little ones.

Cleaning is available for more than just car seats! I also clean strollers, high chairs, bassinets, and other baby gear. Need something else refreshed? Just ask!

Discounts are available when booking multiple items in the same cleaning appointment. You can drop items off to save a few dollars, or I can provide pickup and delivery anywhere in Juneau to make life a little easier.

Send me a DM for a quote or to book!

I never knew the places this business would take me.

In the summer of 2024, I got a call from a family staying on the yacht behind me who needed a crib delivered. At the time, I was six months pregnant with my third and had my two oldest kids in tow.

The family got their crib, the kids got an adventure, and everyone made it safely to the dock.

If there's a will, there's a way—and in this case, the way was my husband being off on a Saturday so his pregnant wife didn't have to push both a double stroller and a full-size crib all the way to the end of the harbor. 😂

One of my favorite parts of this business is that every delivery comes with a story. From hotels and vacation rentals to cruise ships and yachts, helping families enjoy their time in Juneau has taken me to some pretty unexpected places.

Recently, I had the pleasure of delivering a crib to The Alpine Apartment at Auke Bay Motor Lodge. It was my first chance to see one of their units in person, and it is absolutely beautiful. Just off the main bedroom is an adorable built-in bunk bed nook—the perfect spot for older kids to catch some zzz's.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to see so many of Juneau's accommodations and discovering great places for visiting families.

I also can't wait to see what they do with the café space below. Every time I drive by, it looks better and better! They've definitely earned a spot on my list of family-friendly recommendations in Juneau. ❤️
