Whale season, from the lanai.

Every winter humpback whales come back to Hawaiian waters, and the busiest stretch is usually January through March. Our guests have spotted spouts, dolphins and more than a few sunsets without leaving the Alii Horizon Suite.

Tucked away in paradise, and still close to town.

Christine, from Kailua on Oahu, used the Hideaway Studio as her home base for snorkeling with manta rays, hiking Volcanoes National Park and ziplining in Kohala. She said the in-unit washer was a huge plus after all that. Mahalo, Christine.

Morning here goes like this. Coffee on the lanai, a long look at the ocean, and nowhere you need to be.

The Alii Horizon Suite sleeps 4, with a big sectional for movie nights, a dining table that seats everyone, and French doors that open straight onto an ocean-view lanai. One guest put it simply: "Everything faces the ocean."

It's our most booked suite, so if you have dates in mind, grab them early.
