Happy Monday, Campers! ☀️🏕️

We’ve got a big week ahead of us here at Kalkaska RV Park!
First up - those pesky mosquitoes are being sprayed again TODAY! 🦟
We can honestly say: so long, goodbye - we will NOT miss ya!

Next, we’ve got a technician coming out as soon as possible to check into our outdoor movie setup 🎬
That means (hopefully) NO MORE technical difficulties! Stay tuned for this week’s movie update!

And last but not least, we do need to end this week’s Happy Monday post on a more serious note...

Campers, we’ve had an increasing issue with guests "sneaking' dogs into our cabins. While we are pet-friendly here at Kalkaska RV Park, our cabins - and future guests with allergies - need to be protected.

If you have not been given express permission to bring a pet into one of our cabins, there will now be a $75 per-day fee.
But don’t worry - we send out multiple confirmation emails with this reminder, so there should be no surprises! 😅

Now that we’ve got that out of the way... It’s shaping up to be another beautiful week in the park! 🌲🌞
Come join us before the crowds arrive!

Summer is here, and there is no better time to plan a fun family getaway in the great outdoors! 🌞🦋 We are excited to share that the Kalkaska County Library has put together a lineup of wonderful local family- and kid-friendly events, with the first one happening June 30th: a visit from the John Ball Travelling Zoo! 🦁🐍🐢

And do not forget about this Saturday’s free movie night! We will be showing The Parent Trap at 9:00 PM, and it is free for both locals and campers. 🎬⭐ Bring the whole family, grab your blankets and chairs, and come enjoy a movie under the stars! 🌌🍿

We also still have plenty of spots available for the upcoming weekend! 🔥🌲 It is never too late to book a relaxing weekend away and enjoy everything Northern Michigan has to offer.

🔥 This is why we can’t have nice things… 😅

One of our picnic tables had a very dramatic week — let’s just say it's now sporting a “toasted marshmallow” look.

Accidents happen, and we totally get it!

But please, campers, keep a close eye on those table‑top cookers, griddles, and burners. If something goes sideways, melts, scorches, or suddenly looks like it survived a dragon attack, just let the front office know. We’re always happy to fix things up so the next guest has a great stay too.

If you notice the park glowing a little extra this week… you can thank our dream team. Joe, Brandon, and little Nicholas have been out there in the heat turning our walkways into a ✨runway experience✨ for your stroll to the bathhouse.
Seriously — these guys have been sweating harder than a marshmallow over a campfire. We appreciate you SO much!

A huge thank‑you to our wonderful campworkers Mary and Duane for giving Mr. Bear his patriotic makeover just in time for our first holiday weekend! He’s looking sharp and ready to greet all our campers with that red‑white‑and‑blue charm.

We are absolutely thrilled to see the park so full of happy campers enjoying the sunshine, the laughter, and the start of summer. But don’t worry — we still have sites available for anyone who wants to join the fun!

We’re officially kicking off the first holiday weekend of the season, and we still have plenty of spots available for anyone ready to jump into the fun!

🎬 PLUS — This Saturday (5/23) is our FIRST Outdoor Movie Night of the year!
Join us for Around the World in 80 Days (weather permitting).
