We are so excited to introduce leather britches onto our menu this week!

A true Appalachian tradition of storing harvested green beans! Traditionally strung like garland, hung above the wood stove for weeks until dry and looking like worn out leather britches - the old mountain way of keeping summer for winter! You'll find this flavorful pot of cast iron beans as a side on our Grilled Ribeye Steak, White W**e Braised Rabbit, or as a simple side.

Fun times ahead!

In just one month in West Virginia, you can "night-time" snow tube down massive 900-foot lanes decked out with bright LED lights at Snow Riders in Harpers Ferry! Scheduled to open November 20th, this winter attraction is home to the longest snow tubing hill on the East Coast, stretching nearly three football fields! Once darkness falls, the popular “Downhill Disco” begins, filling the slopes with flashing neon lights that change colors to the beat of music playing throughout the park. New for 2026, Snow Riders is adding two more tubing hills, bringing the total to as many as 36 lanes! Each 90-minute session includes unlimited runs, with conveyor lifts carrying you and your tube back uphill. Snow Riders first opened in 2023 and makes its own snow, helping keep the slopes covered even when natural snowfall is limited. Visitors can grab hot chocolate and snacks at the Choco Trailer, enjoy burgers and drinks at Alstadts Ale House, or relax around a rented fire pit. Special combination tickets also include the nearby Harpers Ferry Holiday Light Show, featuring wooded trails filled with Christmas lights and festive displays!
