🤔The story behind the name…
I am always getting asked why our short term rental is named Bradalynn’s Nest. The answer is because of this guy right here!
To everyone else his name was Brady, but to me he was “Bradalynn.” He started calling me “his little cuz, Sarahbelle” when we were in middle school and I called him “Bradalynn.” Cute little nicknames that stuck!
Thirty years ago, Brady lost his life, at the end of our senior year of high school, and my life was forever changed. It was at that point that I made a vow that I would keep his legacy alive, not only in my own life, in my family’s lives, but also in my community as well.
We created our nest to be a comfortable, cozy and safe residence or living space; a refuge, retreat or resting place. It is in honor of “Bradalynn“ and his life. Because we want his life to live on and we believe he is in God’s eternal cozy and safe resting place.
A portion of the proceeds from guests staying at the nest this year will be donated to the Brady James Shick scholarship. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students furthering their education after high school.
